Key Stage 2 (2016-17)
In KS2, we build on the excellent foundations started in Early Years and Key Stage 1. We teach a vibrant, varied and creative curriculum. Our topic of the term is delivered through all subjects from Literacy through to Geography; and experiences based on these topics, make learning fun and interactive.
We have separate lessons for subjects such as Science and French in which key skills and knowledge are taught. As a Church of England School, we teach RE weekly as well as Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education; ensuring our children continue to model the ‘St Luke’s Way’ and that they are equipped with the inter-personal skills necessary for life.
Sporting and drama activities are offered both in curriculum and non-curriculum time and St Luke’s take part in many competition and calibrations of the Arts.
As the children increase in age they also increase in their roles of responsibilities in the school and are offered opportunities to be playground leaders as well as Prefects and House Captains.
