KS2 Author Visit
We are pleased to advise that performance poet, Adisa, visited our Year 3-6 classes on Thursday 5th April.
Adisa is a poet on a mission to highlight the power of poetry both on and off the page. He specialises in delivering bespoke presentations and workshops that touch on issues such as identity, self-confidence, bullying and peer pressure.
Adisa’s work is firmly rooted in African Caribbean history and folklore tradition. Adisa draws heavily on comedy to carry his observations and insights to the audiences’ doorstep.
Adisa will be talking to the children to provide inspiration for their own poetry writing and to enthuse them about the joys of reading. This will support the literacy work that we do in school and we hope it will prove a stimulating experience for the students.
We hope the children enjoyed Adisa’s visit and have lots to tell you about afterwards.
