Staying Safe Online
At St. Luke's we make sure that online safety is taught discretely from EYFS to year 6. In Term 1, children cover aspects of online safety in their Computing sessions and this is referred back to throughout the year. During February, we celebrate Internet Safety Day. All children will experience a curriculum day linked to the theme for that year. During the day, children will also have a workshop run by an external agency that will help children to understand the importance of staying safe online. There will also be a parent workshop available - an email will be sent out for parents to sign up.
To support discussions around online safety, National Online Safety, an independent online safety training provider, produces Online Safety training and resources for school staff, parents and children. Every Wednesday NOS produce guides to focus on specific platforms/risks which trusted adults should be aware of. For more information please see the link below:
