  • Intent

We aim to inspire a life-long love for learning.

At St. Luke’s, we are passionate about inclusion and providing a safe space for all our pupils and staff to learn and thrive (Equality Act 2010 and Special Educational and Disability Regulations 2014.) We intend for our curriculum to challenge and capture pupils’ imagination, encouraging them to become actively engaged, enthusiastic learners who are curious about the world around them.

Life In All Its Fullness underpins our curriculum provision and creative curriculum, we celebrate and CHERISH every child’s success, ensuring all can ASPIRE and have the opportunity to fulfil their future potential.

We hope our rich curriculum will develop resilient pupils who have confidence in their ability to succeed and also a growing COMPASSION to support and CHERISH themselves and those around them. Our spiralling curriculum encourages pupils to systematically build upon knowledge and skills as they travel through St. Luke’s.

We emphasise qualities that build successful learners, including resilience, problem-solving and independence. We believe in providing immersive experiences that emphasise real life contexts and promote transferrable skills; so that pupils are CHALLENGED and increasingly prepared for their future in a rapidly changing world. We value, recognise and celebrate to ensure our pupils to feel proud of their achievements.

We are proud of the curriculum that we have developed at St. Luke’s and the empowering culture we have created; we endeavour to ensure that each child has the chance to explore and ACHIEVE throughout their own learning journey.

Learning extends beyond the parameters of the classroom. Our community links enrich pupils’ learning further; we harness the expertise and talents of visitors, special events and trips to enhance academic and spiritual growth.

Ultimately, we hope that children who share our St. Luke’s journey - flourish, grow and LIVE LIFE TO THE FULL.
