St. Luke's Nursery

At St Luke’s Nursery, children are welcomed into a caring and inclusive environment where they feel safe, valued and inspired to explore the world around them. From the very beginning, we nurture curiosity, independence and confidence, helping every child build the foundations for a happy and successful start to school life. Our core values of Cherish, Challenge, Aspire and Achieve shape daily life in Nursery, encouraging children to try new things, persevere and take pride in their achievements.

Our purpose-built Nursery offers up to 32 places per session and is led by a qualified teacher, supported by an experienced and dedicated Early Years team. We work closely with families to understand each child as an individual, building strong partnerships that support learning both at Nursery and at home.

Learning is rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and brought to life through purposeful play, high-quality interactions and carefully planned experiences. Children are encouraged to explore, talk, create and think deeply. Our environment is rich in opportunities that develop language, strengthen concentration and provide meaningful first-hand experiences which inspire a love of learning.

As part of the wider St Luke’s school community, children benefit from shared experiences and a smooth transition into Reception. Our vision, “Life in all its fullness” (John 10:10b), underpins everything we do, supporting children to grow in confidence, resilience and empathy, preparing them not only for school, but for life.

We warmly welcome visits to our Nursery. Our open mornings provide an excellent opportunity to see the Nursery in action, meet the team and experience the environment first-hand.
