Creative Curriculum
At St. Luke's creativity is at the heart of our lessons. Our creative curriculum is underpinned by our values of 'Cherish, Challenge, Aspire and Achieve'.
The children at St. Luke's are exposed to a broad and balance curriculum that incorporates a range of opportunities for learning and is delivered in a safe, nurturing environment. Our use of Kagan Structures allows children to work collaboratively with their peers.
Our creative curriculum is well sequenced ensuring that children acquire and remember key knowledge through their time at St. Luke's. We ensure that children build on previously knowledge and encourage them to think critically about their learning by making links in other subjects and topics.
To underpin the learning in lessons, we offer specific Creative Days where children focus on one particular subject that links to our school values. For example, in a Geography and MfL Creative Day, children will learn about another country including the cultures and language. During the day, children's learning will be focused on the value 'cherish' and will understand the importance of accepting differences of others.
Please see below for our planned Creative Days in 2021/2022.
