Cultural Capital
As a diverse multi-cultural community, we believe our children possess unique talents, skills and qualities. Subsequently we advocate that they have the right to succeed and the right to recognise their own greatness
Here at St. Luke’s we place an emphasis on developing cultural capital so that children can be better prepared for their future success, we hope that this will give the children the best possible start in their early education.
We see this as the accumulation of knowledge., attitudes, habits, language and possessions that enable individuals to demonstrate their cultural competence. St. Luke’s plays a crucial role in developing this through immersing children in art, dance, music, visiting theatres, galleries and historic sites and by introducing them to a range of literature and art.
Our diverse richness is at the heart of what makes St. Luke's such a wonderful place to work and learn.
