Our School Community’s amazing fundraising efforts have raised £1812.22, this total comes from sponsorship and cake sales.

After watching the devastating news about the war in Ukraine, the children of St. Luke’s were passionate about raising money to help the children in Ukraine. They wanted to buy non-perishable items that the children could use to help them with their learning.

After many long discussions, the children decided that they wanted to do a sponsored run as well as a cake sale! During the week beginning 4^th April, each class had a set day to do their sponsored run. The children were incredible, with one child running 27 laps of the playground!

On Friday 29^th April, we held a cake sale and during the day, each class made cakes to sell, alongside donations from the school community. At the end of the day, the children then sold the cakes to parents and pupils.

We thank everybody who made, donated or bought cakes and all those friends and relations who so generously sponsored the children.

This money has been donated to DEC (the Disasters Emergency Committee.)
